The culturally and historically interesting half-timbered house from 1656 stood in the Barlage district of the former municipality of Hollage and belonged to the Gers-Barlag farm as a Heuerhaus.
The Low German hall house was rebuilt in 1997 by the Hollager Hof Heritage House Association on the property at Uhlandstraße 20.

To the west of the main building is a cottage garden; the paths are bordered with boxwood, as was customary in these gardens for centuries. This garden is divided into a colorful vegetable garden and a fragrant herb garden, with many perennials also enriching the garden. To the south, there is access to a orchard of fruit trees. The 1,200 m² plot borders the Hollager Berg with the listed Mittelberg quarry.
