Hof Deitmar is the only one of the four "original farms" that once characterised the village of Emsdetten to have been preserved and is therefore still a special centre of the town today. The neighbouring park with its large playground is a popular destination for families in particular. But culture lovers will also find a wide range of attractions on the Hof Deitmar museum island, as the grounds around the beautiful half-timbered building are also known. The Heimatbund Emsdetten, which also uses parts of the premises at Hof Deitmar, runs several museums on the site: the Wannenmachermuseum, the August-Holländer Museum, the bakehouse and the granary. Each museum is unique in its own way and displays special historical events from Emsdetten.
