On the bare hill, above the historic town centre, lies the Protestant town church of Tecklenburg. The imposing baroque church tower, Tecklenburg's landmark, can be seen from almost every corner of the town. The church is located between the historic town centre and the spa gardens.

The Protestant town church was built in Tecklenburg between 1562 and 1566, making it the only sacred building from the Reformation period in the Tecklenburg church district. Initially, the church was equipped with a small ridge turret, but it was not until between 1710 and 1718 that the baroque tower was built, which today is considered the landmark of the town of Tecklenburg.

ArrivalArrival by car:
Approach via A30 (Bad Oeynhausen - Rheine), exit Lotte (coming from the east) or exit Laggenbeck (coming from the west).
Approach via A1, exit Lengerich.
Direct access is not possible as the Stadtkirche is located in a narrow street without parking or turning facilities.
Designated parking spaces are available for visitors.
Arriving by train:
Tecklenburg does not have its own railway station.
The nearest stations are Ibbenbüren and Lengerich.
Continue to Tecklenburg by bus.
Bus line R45 from Ibbenbüren, bus station, or from Lengerich station to Tecklenburg.

From the entrance to Tecklenburg, follow the signs to car park P III.
The Stadtkirche is located on the edge of the old town of Tecklenburg and cannot be reached directly by car. The town centre of Tecklenburg is small and the Stadtkirche can be reached on foot from all designated parking areas.
